Oil, Gas & Industrial FEED Studies

Warner Surveys can play a significant role during FEED on most major projects. Strategic input relating to the capabilities and expectations of Dimensional Control, critical path fit up’s and CAD Modelling during detailed design and project execution phase can be vital for the on time completion of site works.

Test Conceptual Design

Circumstances frequently dictate the use of various grades of historic design information during conceptual design. These base drawings and or models can (and usually are) either incomplete or dimensionally incorrect. The design, fabrication and installation of new plant can only be successful if based on correct data and dimensions.

Critical Path

Poor fit up’s, installation clashes and the resulting site re-work will devastate the timely completion and therefore budgets of most major industrial projects. With the technology and experience of Warner Surveys such situations can now be avoided.

Health and Safety Implications

A failed heavy lift due to a poor fit up, repeated trial and error heavy lifts while adjustements are made to shim packs or bolt holes or even the complete re-work of a large connection will result in significantly increased exposure of site staff to potentially hazardous hot work and heavy lifts. These can be avoided.

Scope and Spec

That all important Scope and Spec! This part of the project is so important – A detailed specification must be agreed prior to tender, the difference in site time between a data set with every HD bolt and Cable tray is not insignificant but CAD time is dramatically changed according to the level of detail required. Project extents, corridors of interest, identification of high density areas and low density areas can all play a part in delivering the right model or data set in line with all expectations and on time.
